Photographic & Art Exhibition – 5th – 6th August 2005
Guide Hall, Gerrards Cross, SL9 8EL

James Nash (L) and David Stanning (R) at the exhibition
A variety of images produced by one family was on show this weekend. Originally a private exhibition to celebrate David Stanning’s 60th birthday in May 2005, the exhibition was opened to the Public in order to raise funds for The Teenage Cancer Trust and 1st Seer Green Scouts. David’s brothers, sister, stepson and wife all contributed art work.
Held in the Guide Hall, Gerrards Cross, the exhibition was well attended and visitors were very complimentary about the exhibition, commenting that it was an interesting mix of both media and subjects. This was a repeat family event for David’s wife Glyn who had held a joint art exhibition with her mother Brenda Jeanes in 1977 and was now exhibiting with husband, son and brothers and sister-in-law.
Glyn, who organised the exhibition, said “I was very grateful that everyone contributed such excellent work, the support we received from artists and visitors means that we will be able to donate £500 to charity”.
